This post is just for me. Time truly flies when you're not counting the days. This post is just a reminder on how much I miss high school and show how much I have amazing people in my life. These people and so much more in my life have proved to me that they are truly there for me through thick and thin.

Prom 2012

So this Saturday was my best friend's and a couple of close friend's prom. Sadly I wasn't able to go but that is alright. I did my best friend, Katherine's makeup and my other friend's nails. It turned out gorgeous! Seeing everyone at pre-prom made me so happy! Everyone look beautiful and handsome. And also seeing them made me miss high school even more. It just felt like I just had my prom. Time truly does pass us by and it's taking a toll on me. I do not want anything ending, but we need new things to begin. So here are a couple photos of my friend's prom. Katherine is the one in red and with short hair who I did her make up for.

Magazine Nails

Tutorial

1. Apply a base coat (anything from clear to sheer)
2. Apply a desired base color (anything that will be the solid color, for example my nude beige)
3. Wait for it to completely dry
4. Go through a magazine and fine a print (preferably with a white background) and cut it out into strips that can be placed over the nail
5. Get rubbing alcohol and you can either put it in the cap or a small bowl ( I just did the cap) and have q-tips ready
6. Place the magazine clipping over the nails and hold it into place, make sure the print you want is facing the nail
7. Dip q-tips into the rubbing alcohol and dab it on the magazine clipping (don't get it to soaked)
8. After making it "wet" press firmly against nail, and slowly lift off
9. Apply a top coat to seal your design
10. WALA, you now have magazine nails (:

-If you do not like how it turned out, simply take the RUBBING alcohol, not acetone, and rub it off. This will not mess up your nail polish

Spring Break

I'm pretty bummed that spring break is over and that tomorrow I will  be resuming school -.- But I had a pretty chill spring break. Here's an outline to what I did for the past week.

Friday

• Had breakfast at More Than Waffles with a friend who was on spring break from SD
• Went over to my cousin's house and we went to the movies
• Movie hopped from The Hunger Games to Mirror Mirror to Wrath of the Titans

Saturday

• Lazy Saturday (stayed home)

Sunday

• Came with my sister to get her tattoo done

Monday

• Came with my friend to Glendale, Pasadena and Eagle Rock
• Went shopping and got my nails done in Glendale, dropped her mom at the dentist, chilled in Old Time Pasadena, and went to Target in Eagle Rock

Wednesday

• Picked up my friend and went shopping at Topanga Mall
• Bakes cookies

Thursday

• Cousin Bonding time!
• Picked up cousin
• Ate at Shogun (: Got my sushi fix

You can catch me playing these games 24/7. Its killing me -.- haha, but I can't stop playing!!! Sometimes I even think about it when I'm not playing. And as we speak, I'm about to play!

Instagram Frenzy!

So I don't know if you are already aware of what is trending with the youngins: Instagram for Android.
Yes! Finally Instagram for Android! For those who do not know what Instagram is, think of it as Twitter but with only pictures. You are able to edit pictures, caption it, like other peoples picture and etc. One thing that annoyed me was when iPhone users got "furious" because instagram isn't only for them. Oh SHUT UP and cry me a river. I love instagram! For those who have iPhones or Android phones and do not have instagram, go download it! Here are a couple pictures of mines (:

Obsessed!

So as you can tell I'm quite obsessed with nail polish and doing my nails. I'm so proud of my beautiful collection <33 And oh trust me it will keep growing. This isn't actually all of it, I have way more in the house.
I started my nail design/nail polish "addiction" when I was a sophomore in high school. I would always design my nails weeks after weeks, and everyone would always take notice. They'd always ask if they can see them and ask me the same question over and over, "How do you do this!?!?" And all I say is "Magic!" But of course there was a lot of times when I get real lazy to do it. I will not stop getting nail polish and I will not stop designing! (:

Feeling A Certain Mood?

So while using StumbleUpon (a site which I recommend everyone use) I stumbled upon (pun intended) a website that plays music based upon what your mood is. My current "mood" is the studying one because of all the calm music it plays. I also think that it helps you listen to a bunch of new music that you may never heard before and can fall in love with the artist. This site is totally awesome! You don't need an account to listen, and its absolutely free (: The only time you need an account is just if you want to save the music into a library on the site or make playlists. So enjoy and let your ears do the talking.

The Hunger Games

So this Friday is the premiere of The Hunger Games!! I'm so freaking excited because I have been waiting on this movie for such a while. I read the 1st book over the summer before my Senior year in high school, and I still plan to read the other two real soon. Reading the 1st book was such a pleasure, such a page turner. I could not let the book down, and was so engaged in the book. The story of the book was so good, so much action, and the romance in the book was a mystery. I have very high standards for this movie because the book was amazing. If this movie does not live up to the book, a lot of people (including I) would be disappointed. I'm so excited! I hope I am able to watch the midnight  screening of the movie! 

STOP KONY, MAKE HIM FAMOUS 2012

Everyone needs to know who the nation's NUMBER ONE criminal is: Joseph Kony. He is a man of evil. What he does exactly is abduct innocent children, forces them to kill their parents and mutilate others beautiful faces and kills them. Young girls are made into sex slaves, and the boys are forced to be soldiers. Kony has been on this spree for nearly 30 years and the world has been ignorant about it. He has abducted over 30,000 children. And is still going. 

What we need to do is spread the word and make him "famous." Everyone needs to know who he is and take action. Joseph Kony needs to be stopped, and stopped now. Take some time off of your busy schedule and watch this video, this can change your life and the whole world.

Tattoo Jitters.

So currently this weekend my sister got her 3rd tattoo because it was her birthday gift to herself and it was a pair of shears (hair-cutting scissors in other words). The reason is because she is a hairstylist. I've been dying to get my tattoo for years and years, and it might finally happen this year, for my birthday. But the problem is that I keep changing my mind in which what I want. I honestly don't know how many times I have changed my mind in what I want to get. But I think I'm getting the symbol for "Hakuna Matata," which in Swahili means "No Worries." Everyone who is familiar with The Lion King should know that's where it came from. The symbol for it is beautiful, along with it's beautiful meaning. Ugh, deciding on a tattoo is such a hard task, especially because it will be on your body for the rest of your life. 

Photography

One of my absolute favorite hobbies is taking pictures. I love everything about it, the camera, the photographer and of course the photograph. To me taking pictures gives me my "high." I usually go with "old school" cameras. I have a Polaroid, a Fish Eye, a Diana Mini, and a Minolta XG1 all which take film. I prefer taking pictures with film because of the thrill you get from it. Today we see technology booming and its always one step ahead, and when I use my old cameras, it takes me back in time. I love how I'm not able to view my pictures right away (except for my polaroid) and I have to wait to develop them to see how they turn out. I love how the pictures look on film. Do not get me wrong I also LOVE digital, it's quite amazing. But I love simplicity as well, the vintage look you get when using film.

Restless.

So I'm currently into my 5th week of school, and I'm still not getting really used to, well schedule wise. I hate my Mondays and Wednesdays just because I am here for a good 9 fucking hours -.- And with that sad I feel like I always have and need something to do. My mind is constantly on the go, whether it be about school, friends or family. On top of school, I have this addiction of always going out with my friends. I feel like they are the one who keeps me sane and distracted from the stress that I burden myself with. But just because they are a positive aspect in my life, they too can be such burdens. They make me feel like I need to get away and cannot really face my reality. They are my hallucinations. Something that cannot really get me back to where I need to sit down and concentrate. But thanks to them, I'm still breathing.

We Are Young

For as of right now, We Are Young by Fun,  has to be one of my favorite songs. It's a feel good song that makes you feel invincible. I feel like this song can be for an epic montage for anyone. Its a song that builds up in a slow way and makes your "soul tingle." I freaking love this song, and I hope you do to(:

I have a hobby, and its doing my nails (: Its something that allows me to truly express my creative side in a small way. It relaxes me and makes me feel good with the final out come. I often do my nails. Usually a week or two I do them, its pretty addicting. Enjoy!
