Prom 2012

So this Saturday was my best friend's and a couple of close friend's prom. Sadly I wasn't able to go but that is alright. I did my best friend, Katherine's makeup and my other friend's nails. It turned out gorgeous! Seeing everyone at pre-prom made me so happy! Everyone look beautiful and handsome. And also seeing them made me miss high school even more. It just felt like I just had my prom. Time truly does pass us by and it's taking a toll on me. I do not want anything ending, but we need new things to begin. So here are a couple photos of my friend's prom. Katherine is the one in red and with short hair who I did her make up for.

Magazine Nails

Tutorial

1. Apply a base coat (anything from clear to sheer)
2. Apply a desired base color (anything that will be the solid color, for example my nude beige)
3. Wait for it to completely dry
4. Go through a magazine and fine a print (preferably with a white background) and cut it out into strips that can be placed over the nail
5. Get rubbing alcohol and you can either put it in the cap or a small bowl ( I just did the cap) and have q-tips ready
6. Place the magazine clipping over the nails and hold it into place, make sure the print you want is facing the nail
7. Dip q-tips into the rubbing alcohol and dab it on the magazine clipping (don't get it to soaked)
8. After making it "wet" press firmly against nail, and slowly lift off
9. Apply a top coat to seal your design
10. WALA, you now have magazine nails (:

-If you do not like how it turned out, simply take the RUBBING alcohol, not acetone, and rub it off. This will not mess up your nail polish

Abominable #11

So here we have another bird strip. I was reading the little comment that the author wrote that he had to text his wife every time he did a bird strip because he didn't want her to worry because this was not a reflection of their marriage. I really do love these birds, and all the "random" parts of the comic. It gives us a break within the story, allowing us to soak everything in. I can't wait for the next part to this story to see  who the lady bird might be!

Man, this post is fitting my current mood of state. Doesn't necessarily mean I'm going through the same exact problem, but still same mood setting.

Spring Break

I'm pretty bummed that spring break is over and that tomorrow I will  be resuming school -.- But I had a pretty chill spring break. Here's an outline to what I did for the past week.

Friday

• Had breakfast at More Than Waffles with a friend who was on spring break from SD
• Went over to my cousin's house and we went to the movies
• Movie hopped from The Hunger Games to Mirror Mirror to Wrath of the Titans

Saturday

• Lazy Saturday (stayed home)

Sunday

• Came with my sister to get her tattoo done

Monday

• Came with my friend to Glendale, Pasadena and Eagle Rock
• Went shopping and got my nails done in Glendale, dropped her mom at the dentist, chilled in Old Time Pasadena, and went to Target in Eagle Rock

Tueday

Wednesday

• Picked up my friend and went shopping at Topanga Mall
• Bakes cookies

Thursday

• Cousin Bonding time!
• Picked up cousin
• Ate at Shogun (: Got my sushi fix
• Dropped my cousin off to his friends house and the rest of us went to the mall (all girls)
• Picked up my cousins
• Went back to the house and chilled

Another Obsession: GAMES

My two current obessions: Drawsomething and Bejeweled.

You can catch me playing these games 24/7. Its killing me -.- haha, but I can't stop playing!!! Sometimes I even think about it when I'm not playing. And as we speak, I'm about to play!
